Vibes Feed: Google Discover on your home screen

Vibes Feed is a free, optional companion that adds the Google Discover feed to the left of your home screen. Google Play doesn't allow apps built the way Vibes Feed has to be built, so we offer it here, directly from our website.

Updated October 13, 2026. Only download Vibes Feed from this page.

  1. Install Vibes Launcher from Google Play and set it as your Home app.
  2. Check the Google app is installed and up to date.
  3. Download Vibes Feed on your phone using the button on this page.
  4. Open the downloaded file and tap Install. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps. Google Play Protect may warn you because the app isn't from Play; tap More details → Install anyway.
  5. Turn it on: in Vibes Launcher, open Settings → Feed and choose Google Discover. Then swipe right from your first home page.
No new icon appears after installing. That's expected: Vibes Feed has no screen of its own. It runs only when Vibes Launcher shows your feed, and it only works with apps signed by Vibes.

Questions

Short answers to what people ask most.

Can I bring my setup from another launcher?

Yes. Vibes Launcher can import your home screen layout from a Nova Launcher or Lawnchair backup. Make a backup in your old launcher, then use the import option in Vibes Launcher's backup settings.

Do I need Vibes Feed?

No. Vibes Launcher works fully without it. Vibes Feed only adds the Google Discover page. Without it, you can use the built-in widget page instead.

Why isn't Vibes Feed on Google Play?

The Google app only shares its Discover feed with Google's own launchers or with apps built in "debuggable" mode, and Google Play doesn't accept debuggable apps. So Vibes Feed is distributed here instead. It's built and signed by the same developer as Vibes Launcher.

Is it safe?

Vibes Feed asks for no permissions, has no internet access of its own and collects no data. It only passes the feed between the Google app and Vibes Launcher, and it refuses to work with any app not signed with the Vibes certificate. You can compare the checksum above with your download: on a computer, run sha256sum vibes-feed-1.2.0.apk.

How do I update or remove it?

To update, download the latest version from this page and install it over the old one. To remove it, go to Android Settings → Apps → Vibes Feed → Uninstall.

Is Vibes affiliated with Google?

No. Vibes Launcher and Vibes Feed are independent apps. Google Discover content comes directly from the Google app and is covered by Google's own terms and privacy policy.
